With the advice of Villaseca Abogados, the startup Andes Electronic patented its technology that focuses on giving a second life to the batteries used by cranes, trucks, boats, and electric cars, among others. Currently, the firm is in the process of obtaining an invention patent internationally with a view to expanding into China.

The CEO and founder of Andes Electronics, Francisco Aguirre, told ElectroMov that they are currently starting the patent process in the Asian country: “An important market for this type of patent is China due to the massiveness of the raw material we use. There are plenty of batteries there,” he said.
