BLAS BELLOLIO RECEIVES THE TEACHING CAREER PATH AWARD FROM THE LAW SCHOOL OF THE UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA OF CHILE

Blas Bellolio, associate attorney of Villaseca Abogados, has received the “Teaching Career Path Pedro Lira Urquieta” award from the Law School of the Universidad Católica. With this, the educational institution recognizes the outstanding academic work that Bellolio has been imparting for 40 years.

Blas Bellolio is a lawyer of the Pontificia Universidad Católica of Chile and he heads the corporate area of ​​Villaseca Abogados. In addition, he has developed an important teaching career in several universities. In Universidad Católica’s Law School he has taught Economic Law since 1978, first as Teaching Assistant and from 1983 as Professor.

About it, Bellolio notes: “doing classes in UC Law is motivating and challenging. Furthermore, the course has a direct link with the economic legislation and regulation of our country these matters are in permanent review, which forces me to keep up with them.  Likewise, he adds: “this Prize to the teaching trajectory is recognition to many years of academic work, teamwork with other professors and dedication when preparing classes. It is also a source of pride for me to be awarded by one of the best Law Schools in the country, and part of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, which is one of the best universities in Latin America.”

From 2006, UC Law School established a tradition consisting of the presentation of three annual awards to recognize its academics: Teaching Excellence, Teaching Career Path and Outstanding Professor, which are delivered each year during the inauguration of the academic year of the Faculty. In 2018, along with Blas Bellolio, have been honored the professors Nicolás Luco Illanes and Felipe Widow Lira.
