An important delegation from the American Intellectual Property Law Association –AIPLA- visited Chile between August 19 – 21, 2018.

The delegation was conformed by Myra McCormack, President of AIPLA; Brian Batzli, Treasurer; the co-chairs of the Latin American Committee, Eugenio Perez from Mexico and Ury Fisher from the U.S.; as well as members of the LatAm Practice Committee from the U.S., Mexico, Argentina and Chile.

The program included a number of important meetings with authorities of the Chilean government and private sector such as the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI), the Industrial Property Court (TDPI),  the General Directorate of International Economic Relations (DIRECON), the U.S Embassy and the Innovation Center of the Universidad Católica de Chile.

The visit was organized by our firm’s partner and committee member Eduardo Molina. After three days of meetings, the delegation completed its Chilean period with an animated dinner hosted by Villaseca Abogados.
